A NOTE FROM THE CREATORS
In March 2025, in Nosara, Costa Rica, the idea for AWŪ emerged. It was a holiday between friends, a breath from elsewhere. The one of hot wind, gliding between palm trees, and letting us experiment with another way of living: slower, more conscious and more grounded. We understood that the journey is not about the number of kilometres, but rather an inner quality, a way of being present in the moment, of being in the world.
This journey never ended. We carried it with us. From this suspended moment emerged a shared desire: to create, right here, a place that evokes this state of mind.
AWŪ, WHISPERED BY NATURE
The term “Awu” is derived from the volcano of the same name, towering on the Sangir island in Indonesia. Known for its impressive stature and altitude , this volcano once housed a crater lake, nourished by heavy rainfall. This lake symbolizes the presence of water at the summit, and defines not only physical, but also spiritual heights. Like these swimming pools suspended on our roofs, water reflects the sky, providing a freshness that only the highest reaches can offer.
The brand aligns with this inspiration: reconnecting with what motivates us, reviving the sensation of what makes us feel good, establishing areas for connection, and blending heights and water to create a sensory and uplifting experience.
